Get Your Cruise Legs on a Cruise to Nowhere

Why a Cruise to Nowhere
Many of those who have never cruised before express some of the same concerns such as will they get sick or will they get bored or even will they feel claustrophobic on the ship and in the cabins. Usually the answers to these questions are a resounding “NO” but if you are still concerned one of the best ways to get your cruise legs is to try a cruise to nowhere.

On cruises to nowhere the ship basically leaves port, sails around the ocean for a couple of days and then comes back to port. You don’t get to experience the great destinations or shore excursions that cruise have to offer but you will have a chance to see how you react to a ship at sea and you get a chance to see how much there is to do on a cruise ship and you get to do this all at about half the price of a typical 7 night cruise.

Cruise to Nowhere NYC
What better way to try cruising than a cruise to nowhere from New York City. Even if you end up not liking the cruise you can still salvage your vacation in one of the greatest cities in the world. This is no doubt why cruises from New York City are becoming one of the more popular options among cruise fans. New York also offers more 2 day cruises than any other port including Carnival cruises to nowhere in 2011 and even Disney cruises to nowhere coming in 2012.

1 Day Cruise to Nowhere from Seattle
Two of the best cruise lines in the world are offering 1 day cruises to nowhere this September out of Seattle. Both Holland America and Princess Cruises are offering these cruises at less than $100 a passenger. This is a fantastic deal and a great way to cruise on some great ships such as the Golden Princess and the Westerdam. If I lived in Seattle, I would go on every one of these… well at least two of them since it appears two leave on the same day.

As you can see, a cruise to nowhere offers a great chance to test out out cruising and it does so typically at a low cost. The Disney cruises to nowhere out of New York City are a bit more expensive but when you look at the typical cost of a Disney cruise from Port Canaveral you are still saving quite a bit and the cruise is only a day or two shorter than most standard 3 and 4 night Disney cruises. I willing to bet New Yorkers are chomping at the bit to book these trips. The chance for their children to experience a little Disney magic so close to home is an awesome opportunity.
